Mission Statement


The Shoshone County 9-1-1 Communications Center is committed to providing the most effective and efficient communications possible to all citizens and emergency service personnel utilizing the center.





The Shoshone County Communications Center is currently staffed with Seven full time dispatchers.  The Communication Center serves as a support entity for dispatching personnel for the Shoshone County Sheriff's Office, Osburn Police Department, Kellogg Police Department, Pinehurst Police Department, US Forest Service LEO, Idaho Fish and Game, Idaho State Police, Mullan Fire Department, Dist 1 Fire Department, Dist 2 Fire Department, Murray Fire/Qru, St. Joe EMS, Calder Fire, Kellogg Ambulance and other agencies from surrounding Counties.



The Communications Center is the Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for Shoshone County and parts of Kootenai County.  The Communications Center has the responsibility to staff and answer, on a 24-hour basis, the telephones and radios upon which calls for service are received.  This includes 911 emergency calls (police, fire and EMT's.)  Whether you call 911 or the non-emergency line (208)556-1114, you will speak with a highly trained dispatcher.
