The Shoshone County Special Response Team is a part-time law enforcement special operations team that is designed to respond in a tactical manner to incidents in support of, or outside the capabilities of the patrol division. Members of the Shoshone County SRT are carefully screened and selected from within the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office patrol division. Once selected, SRT deputies are extensively trained in special weapons and tactics, marksmanship, high risk planning, hostage rescue, close quarters combat, and public safety during high risk incidents.
Special Response Team Mission Statement
The mission of the Shoshone County Special Response Team (SRT) is to respond in a professional, tactical, and time effective manner, to any given situation, which has been designated an emergency situation and is outside the capability of the patrol division, or as directed by the Shoshone County Sheriff. This includes the planning, execution, and service of high risk search and arrest warrants. The team also trains to deprive both foreign and domestic terrorist their resources, as a proactive measure to prevent terrorist activity. The driving focus of the SRT is responding to and neutralizing, in a time efficient manner, active threats to public safety. Please feel free to contact the SRT team leader, Sgt.
